Welcome to Creativity at the Core, Module 7 – Arts Integration: Teacher and Artist Collaboration – Connecting Arts Learning with the Common Core State Standards brought to you by the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools and Fresno Arts Council.
Through their mutual commitment to the role of working artists in the schools, the Fresno County Office of Education (FCOE) and the Fresno Arts Council (FAC) provide professional development to facilitate partnerships between K-6 teachers and artists. Through this project both sets of professionals develop standards-based arts integrated unit plans and materials. As a result, students benefit from an integrated arts curriculum aligned to Common Core State Standards.
This project creates a path for other communities to connect working artists to teachers and students in K-6 classrooms.
